Anyone try to modify something similar what I am trying to do

Gonna take my GTX 480M and take off the 128mb DDR5 HYNIX module and install the 256mb DDR5 HYNIX modules (already got the modules)

Just waiting for the my specific DDR5 stencils to arrive I am going to have to edit the bios for timinings, mhz, and possibly volts but thats all i can see so far.

Where did you buy 256Mb GDDR5 chips from? And what are you using to connect the BGA packaging?

Removal of the 128mb Chips the BGA are still there luckily so I can resuse I will use a Small Cutout holder thinger to hold/guide in the 256mb Chips. Worse case I can remove the Old BGA balls and use new ones with a BGA GDDR5 socket for specically doing that mine english sometimes scares me I hope that makes sense

Find out a HYNIX chip model per say and check it there is placed that sell them individually aka 4-8 each or min orders 10-50 or etc. I got 16 256mb Chips here for the Mod

Sounds like you've done some research and know what you're doing. Interested in hearing the results! Although 4GB is a little extreme for that card.
