Hello, when I plug my laptop into my TV with a HDMI cable, every now and then I will get stuttering issues, for example when I move a window around the screen, it will stutter around. Note I have my laptop lid closed when I do this so only the TV is on.

When I click on "connect to a projector" I'll have to select "Duplicate" in order to fix it. But then randomly it seems, the stutters will start again and I'll change to "Disconnect Projector" to fix it again. It kinda is driving me crazy. It doesn't happen allot, but it happens enough to be a pain. I can never click "Connect to a projector" which I would think should be the default choice since the laptop lid is closed, but it says it doesn't detect a projector when I do that.

I'm using Mr Fox's Nvidia drivers for the 980's

Does anyone have an idea of how I can fix this?

What version are you using? 347.09? If your'e using the 347 version drivers, downgrade to 344.75.. These 347 ones don't play nice with Maxwell GPUs... I'm using 344.75 and can confirm that I have no such problems..

Ok that's strange.. Have you tried disabling SLI when connecting to the TV? I hope your'e not playing games on your TV.. If not, I'd suggest uninstalling all your drivers using DDU/CC Cleaner, reinstalling Mr Fox'es ones and if it still doesn't work, move back to the 344.75 mobile drivers...

Disabling SLI does seem to help but it can still happen when it is. I only use the TV to watch my movies, TVShows and such :) (using Kodi AKA XBMC) Games look far to good on the monitor to use anything else :)

Thanks for the advice, I'll try DDU and re-installing :)

I uninstalled with DDU and installed the new Nvidia drivers that just came out. It seemed to fix the issue.
