I currently have a t5750 chip that I would like to upgrade in a Gateway M-6847. Bios is Phoenix Tech 95.10. Does anyone know what cpu chips are compatible for this board and bios?

Your laptop has the GM965 chipset, quite a few socket P processors are compatible. Did you have a price range in mind? It would help narrow down the choices.

965 chipset can take any 800 FSB Core 2/Pentium Dual core chips. Best bet is T8300 without spending an arm and a leg.

A faster hard drive or SSD, if you've not done so already, will for most users be much more noticeable than a CPU upgrade.
