I think I have decided I'm getting an IdeaPad Z710. Seems there are some options to get either GeForce GT 745M or Intel HD Graphics 4600 in them for basically no price difference.

Is there any disadvantage to taking the 745M? Not sure if known issues/heat/etc. Won't be used for heavy gaming or any gaming maybe. Thought I'd get some opinions before pulling the trigger.

    Thanks

The model with the 745M has the HD 4600 too.

There are no disadvantages to getting the 745M, battery life will be the same thanks to Nvidia Optimus, which switches graphics cards based on usage.
