I'm seeing that the Geforce 570M is coming out very soon in a couple of MSI gaming laptops. I am curious if it would soon be available separately as an MXM card for people to upgrade their existing notebooks with? Also wondering why only MSI is getting this card so far?
I'm noticing that while Nvidia will release some models, we never seem to see them in the wild. For instance, I hardly ever saw any existence of the GTX 470m and 480m whereas the 485m is much more widely available in Clevo notebooks.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!

The 470m, 480m and 485m were only available in certain Clevo (and reseller) models, the 485m has been a bigger success and is also a more recent card than the 470m and especially newer than the 480m.
Your best chance for getting a separate 570m will be through a Clevo reseller once the card is available. You could for example contact forum member pkhetan once the card got released, he has pretty good deals on all the current high-end cards which are available in Clevo systems (580m, 6970m, 6990m).
I'm wondering as well why this card is such a rare sight (same as the 470m)... as long as the card isn't as expensive as the 580m it'll be a great GPU, pretty powerful and probably highly overclockable (as the 470m).
Actually when the card was announced it was said that it'll be available in some Alienware systems, but seeing that the 560m and 580m is now available with the M17x r3 and M18x I somehow doubt that they'll introduce the 570m there as well.
But I'm sure it will be available for Clevo systems. -
Since plenty of Nvidia's 5xx series has been a rebadge (lower manuf. process and slightly higher clocks which are in the 10%), you first have to determine whether or not the 570m would be worth the trouble,
Geforce 570m available separatedly?
