Just wished to confirm that the Geforce 7400 in the Vaio SZs are 128 meg dedicated and 128 shared and the ones in the XPS M1210s are 64 meg dedicated and 192 meg shared.

If so, too bad the Dells can't have 128 dedicated. :( :( :(

For a card like the 7400, the amount of dedicated memory seems to make little or no difference. Check the Sony SZ reviews. The 3dmark05 scores seem to be around 1900. Now, if you check the m1210, you can see it scored 2090. It does have slightly better specs, less the GPU.

I don't know the specs, but the GPU & memory speed could be different between the SZ series and the M1210.

What specs did the Sony SZ and XPS M1210 have when the 3dMark scores were compared?
