    Generic batteries any good?

    I have a Sony SZ230P and the battery is "not present" its a month over warrenty and it will cost $220.12 for a new OEM battery through sony, has anybody had luck with generic OEM replacement batteries in laptops?

    You may want to read our Battery Guide, but the bottom line is that going with 3rd party batteries has some severe risks.
