Hi folks!
New here! So I want to say HI there and nice to meet you!![]()
I have a question about the Dell Latitude x300 D-bay or docking station or Media Base.
Basically I can't get the damned thing to work. I run XP on it and
there seem to be no drivers for it. I also never got a disc with drivers
on it from dell at the time, it was already snapped on there preinstalled.
Dell doesn't give support anymore for this laptop. (Is what hey told me over teh phone)
After a hardwarecrash I reinstalled xp, but now the docking station
does not install, only thing working is the dvd drive thats in it. XP seems to
recognize the dock, but the ethernet plug and audio+video card plugs
do not work and come up with a ? in the hardware list.
Anyone know where to find the drivers that belong to
the x300's docking station's ethernet component and audio + video plugs?
Thanx in advance![]()

What happens when you plug it in?

Hi! Sorry I got back a bit late on this, I am having trouble logging
into the forum (doesnt except any new password I make for some reason).
I have found out the problem in the meantime too, but I still have a driver question though. Does anyone know where to get XP drivers for the
wireless Lan device which is in the Latitude x300? I broomed the internet for it,
but the ones I downloaded do not work at all.
As for the docking station. it works now, it seems the x300 has
nearly everything internally chipped, so it had to copy the drivers from that.
Thanks

If you plug the service tag into Dell's site, you should get all the drivers for your machine.
