    Hi folks.

Bought myself a new laptop today, but, like with all Acer laptops, it is full of that rubbish preloaded software from Acer that I totally don't need!

I'm not too sure how to get rid of it all though. Is it OK to just remove via add/remove programs?

Or will I be required to create a backup disk and then reinstall without all that crap?

    Thanks!

Yes, removing them from the Add/Remove programs is the way to do it.
Usually all laptops come with a recovery partition or disc to restore it to when you first got the laptop so you will not need to make a backup.
The best way is to do a fresh install but that takes a lot of time to find all the drivers and software needed for you laptop to function correctly.

Having experience with the 3680 only,

you can remove every Acer softwares

    including Power Management because

Vista give all the choices. You will find

a lot better media players online too :D
