Ok I am having a terrible time with my Sony SZ160P/C and its glare, especially in well light surroundings. Everything else about the laptop is perfect from its weight to its color and contrast, battery life, etc. Just about perfect except for that glare in certain situations. Now I have seen some different glare filters that you can buy for LCD monitors and laptop notebooks. However the only one I could find that is made specifically for laptops is the 3m privacy filter. They say it also has some anti-glare properties but its more meant as a way to reduce viewing angles so no one can see around you. I talked to a seller of them and he said that people have complained about the glare not being reduced, and he also said that their main function is for privacy not glare reduction

So I ask if anyone out there has had luck with another product that I am not aware of. They make plenty of LCD monitor covers that work terrifically but they are not sized for laptops. Most are all at their smallest meant for 15 inch standard screens.

I know screenteck offers the service of removing the coating for $100 plus shipping, but for one that is a little pricey and two there are still some situations where the gloss finish comes in handy. So really the best of both worlds would be to use the screen covering (if one exists) for well light situations and remove the cover when in darker surroundings.

Thanks for any help in this matter
