Hi, I have a presario v3000z with the non-glossy (brightview technology) screen, but I have seen some of these glossy screens out there and they look just awesome, I know they sell these screens on ebay and u can buy it and upgrade yourself, but is it really worth it?

It would be more trouble than it's worth to attempt a screen replacement/swap.

If you are dead-set on a glossy screen, perhaps you should look at a different laptop or finding a v3000z which has a glossy screen.

Upgrading yourself via an eBay purchase sounds really sketch to me.

agreed, suggestion, don't look at glossy screens and you will be fine. Also maybe take a glossy outside on a sunny day and you won't miss!

I prefer matte myself, glossy induces reflections wich I hate, and it enhances the colors in a way that I dont think is natural.

My c90s has a hybrid screen, its glossy but not as glossy as most so you get a 50/50 mix between the two so im pretty happy with it.

What ever screen you have tho, as time progresses you will get used to it, and start telling yourself why you like it better than if you would have gotten a different screen. Its just human nature.

My HP has matte and my Toshiba has glossy. I prefer the glossy.
