Will a game look a bit better in vista rather than xp? I see the vista drivers are updated and it says that this integrated video can do ''vertex shaders and t&l''?

Is it just not activated in xp.am i wrong? I just don't know..

Sorry my friend, but you're mistaking that for the GMA X3100.

The GMA 950 isn't worth anything when it comes to gaming.

Vista uses DirectX 10, which is supposedly superior to XP's DX9c (so far DX10 has seen no better results). However, you need not only the software for DX10, but also a DX10 capable card. The GMA950 is not DX10 capable, nor is it a suitable card for playing most 3D games.

@Matt: how have you concluded that he has mistaken the 950 for the X3100?

Probably because the 950 has no native T&L capabilities, but the X3100 does (with appropriate drivers)...........

but some games that requires TnL can run in GMA 950, e.g CoD and CoD2..
maybe it's juz the GMA 950 software TnL Emulator i guess....but GMA 950 are not a bad card actually if ure planning to play older games ^^

The x3100 is no better than the GMA950. The GMA950s T&L software rendering is faster than the x3100 hardware.

Dont even mention DX10. DX10 on the x3100 is useless.
