    hey guys im going from a t5800 2.0 ghz to a P8800 @ 2.66ghz. Would it be compatable with my studio 1537.

    my guess is not.. if i remember correctly , studio 1537 uses PM965 chipset which is limited by 800MHz FSB CPU's.. P8800 won't work as its 1066MHz FSB.. you have to look for T9300/9500 if you want something good.

    I don't think it is compatible, as the P8800 has a FSB of 1066 MHz.
    Try to find a processor with 800 MHz FSB.

    What is your chipset? If it is PM45/GM45, it should be compatible.
