    That's the best one right now ATM.

    Reviews say vibrations are small and is silent.

    The speed is also on par with the other 1TB drive from Western Digital.

    Derr... I didn't think to look up benchmarks for mechanical drives! Looks like the Samsung is the best choice overall. It looks like Seagate is fulfilling their warranty issues as well now since Samsung sold their hard drive division to them. Hopefully I won't have issues with it :D

    Yeah I had a hard time finding its specs on the Amazon site. I'll probably end up ordering the Samsung off of NewEgg after my wife gets done being mad at me for restocking on a bunch of auto detailing supplies and pre-ordering Syndicate & Mass Effect 3 all at the same time :-S

    on a sidenote, I have the 12mm samsung spinpoint drive. Its worked flawlessly for me since may 2011.

    It's odd Samsung sold their Hard Drive portion of the company to Seagate, considering their HDDs (including SSDs) seem to constantly score very well on benchmarks and are known for good reliability as a brand (not to mention some of the more affordable of the brands available).
