I just want to tell you all, that I repasted my 3 year old notbook Samsung 700Z7C (3615QM + 650m, 2GB) yesterday and had ground-breaking results.
You have to know that this notbook is meant to be a thin multimedia/gaming-Notebook. And like all thin notebooks cooling is a big problem, which I had from the beginning.
I repasted 2 years ago with Prolimatech PK-3 and had better results than with stock paste and temps went down a lot. But I never was really happy, because I had to repaste every 6months or so and my CPU was throttling in heavy games (GTA 4 / Crysis 3) anyway. I started using ThrottleStop and had to go down by 300MHZ to get "cooler" temps (<92°C), without throttling. So I had a nice gaming-notebook but couldnt use the power it had to play nice games.
And last week I played MaxPayne 3 and for the first time the GPU hit 90°C ! (CPU: 90°C too), which I felt was getting dangerous.
I started watching for a new notebook already with good cooling because I couldnt stand this temps anymore and this limited power.
But then I read about the Liquid Ultra and wanted to give it a try. I thought, when this isnt going to work, then I sell this notebook and buy a new one.

So I repasted (and benched) yesterday:
    Before I reached after 7min Prime95 max temps: 83,90,86,90
After repaste I got after 9min Prime95 max temps: 81,79,76,79 (and the fans werent even running on highest speed, like before!!)
On Core2 and 4 max temp down by 11°C !!

Thats a miracle. I tested Far Cry 3 and Crysis 3 and GPU-temps didnt even reach 80°C (in 1080p!!!)
CPU ca. 80°C. I can play with my full 2,3 GHZ now and GPU is overclocked by 200 MHZ !!
It feels like a new notebook.
And although my cooling-system isnt the best (like ASUS ROG or AW17) I can use my full power now and have absolutely no throttling.
In Idle (browsing) the fans are quieter now.

Just wanted to tell ya my stroy, cause I'm flashed and very very happy.
Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra is nuts !!!!

I am reading a lot here but dont post as often, but wanted to share my experience to give the community something back.

    Greeting from Germany :)

I just used the plain jane Grey thermal paste and that has worked fine for my needs nothing fancy about it. What makes a difference is how you use your laptop not blocking vents and how well you clean the vents and fan and heatsink to allow for proper heat dissipation. Without this all your thermal paste can't do it's work.

Type of paste can make all the difference in the world, as much as 5-10C at load difference. Sure keeping your fans and vents clean is important, but without a quality paste you might as well be using toothpaste.
