This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I really wonder what happened to good-old flash drives with write protection switches. I can't find even one with reasonable capacities, only up to 512MB. Why no company produces them even there is a virus breakout through flash drives? I am really fed up with cleaning them everytime I use it on a client machine.

    get a SDHC card and use a card reader. that will solve ur problem
