I tried the bluetooth route and was never happy. It just wouldn't work consistently. Go with a Logitech mouse with a Nano receiver. The receiver really is small enough to always leave it in the USB slot.

There are several varieties of the Nano series mice (2 button, 3 button, scroll wheels, etc.) so get what works best for you.

This 6 button version on Newegg has 344 reviews, 80% 5 star, 14% 4 star and 6% 3 star and lower.

I have the Kensington Bluetooth Slimblade Trackball Mouse and I like it. Kensington's non-trackball ones seem nice too, and may be a bit cheaper.

But... the Logitech Nano mice, while not Bluetooth, also seem like good options, if you don't mind the tiny unobtrusive USB receiver.

Trust Laser Mini Mouse MI-8700/MI-5700. Its a bit bigger but very comfy. Or buy amazing Microsoft Wireless Presenter Mouse 8000 on ebay. But you should know - every bluetooth mouse i had in my hands needs to be reconnected sometimes.
