    Hi,

We just got a new router, and I'm wondering if I should set channel width to 20mhz only, or auto (20mhz/40mhz)?

if i set it to auto, it doesnt allow me to manually choose the channel. if i set it to 20mhz only, it allows me to either manually set the channel or just keep auto...so if i do end up setting it to 20mhz only, should i choose auto for channel or manually choose one?

We have a couple wireless-n ready computers and the rest are b/g.

    thanks a ton!

This should go in the wireless/network forum. Set to auto unless using only N. I think then you want only 40MHz for max speeds. With mixed wireless, it will run at the slowest adapter speed (compatibility).
