Well my new T7600G came in the mail yesterday and I got the cpu installed perfectly fine. Im really loving it in my xps m1710 :D I only have run it at stock speeds so far and im impressed with the 300MHz bump over my T7200. Sega Rally Revo ran smoother and faster than before. Im not sure if im going to overclock it to the max, but I like the idea that I can get a little speedbump at the press of a arrow key in the bios.

Any one else have a T600G

That's a rare one! Good find and congrats!

Why bother with the BIOS when you can use ThrottleStop in Windows and fine tune this thing ;)

Thank You ! wasn't any hard process getting it lol the cpu had 28 watchers on ebay but It had a "Buy It Now" button so I said Okay :) and im glad I did. The cpu idles at 25C which is really good at stock speeds. but my right graphics card vent smells a little funny, but the temps are fine. I cant make it out as smoke but smells like gpu heatpipe smell :(

Awesome overclock! How comes that the temp say 3~6ºC and the fan is not moving

Depending on the camera shutter speed, it may or may not show motion blur. The guy said he supercooled it. I can only assume that the person poured or sprayed liquid refrigerant on the heatsink.

The best desktop conroe/merom chips can hit 4Ghz with 1.15 volts on really good air cooling (although not exactly stable). That laptop hit 3.8Ghz while super-cooled to 2-3 degrees C and 1.45 volts and "froze almost instantly." The main thing holding back an overclock in the laptop is the cooling, and secondly the power delivery.

Anyway, if you can get the T7600g to almost 3Ghz stable, that is good!

Now I see. If it's indeed 3ºC, then the fan is not moving, as the BIOS would tell it so. Most fans are activated at ~40ºC. I know about the cooling, hence I'm doing something radical in order to get 4+GHz. The VRM and MOSFETs also need cooling, especially on 2 phase setups, like most of the C2D notebooks are. Most notebook overclockers overlook this.

Wow that's good OC at almost 4GHz, but I don't want to fry my cores I tested it at 3.0GHz and it ran FAST ! but its the max I wanted to take it as far as gaming goes. I just leave it @ 2.67GHz for now since it has made my games faster. I guess I have some magic under the hood of my computer lol. What $150 buy's these days is amazing I tell you that  now what would be really awesome would be to use a external video card such as the "ViDock" solution pop in a GTX Titan and OC my CPU to 3.0GHZ and play BF4 ! but then that would make my laptop into some sort of docking station/desktop machine lol :)

I am afraid in BF3/4 even at 4ghz the T7600G would be bought to it's knees lol. It's basically a core 2 duo. Good tech back in 2006-2007!

    Still impressive though!

All I'm going to say is that I'm green with envy.

Always wanted one of these, but never put the actual effort into obtaining it...

    Congrats, good luck and enjoy!

    Don't be...for the following reasons:

    a) DS pictured in the avatar doesn't belong to me

    b) The two that I still own are 6,000 miles away...and although they are way older than 20 years, still a royal pain to import...which is why they're still where I left them almost 15 years ago...

Well not to get off topic here but I decided to leave my cpu at default clock speed and the above scores reflect that :D since I mostly play sega rally revo, world in conflict and company of heroes, all I can play on high settings with good fps and smooth gameplay. I know its partly that im afraid of killing my t7600g

But yeah you just have to go through the process :(
