WHich one cranks out more performance the HD 2600, or the 8700GT, or the 8600GT I know the 8700Gt has more performance then a 8600GT, but which one is the Ati HD 2600 closer to?

This has been asked and answered many times. The HD2600 core is extremely similar to the 8600M-GT core, and will perform ~equally at equal clock speeds. The HD2600XT is closer to the 8700M-GT, though slightly behind it (as I don't believe it's usually clocked as highly).
