    absolutely.

    2d video is mostly handled by the cpu anyway.

    the gpu comes into play for 3d.

    depending on the integrated part you may have trouble watching high definition movies (HD-DVD and BLU RAY)

    so a independent gpu would only basicly effect games?

    Can you play BF2 with an Nvidia 7400 Go? If so, at what levels?

    I play it at 1024x768, with all high settings, high dynamic light, and no dynamic shadows (slows things down a bit) with smooth frames.
