In the many laptops I am considering, the graphics cards are all different, and I would like to know how they compare. Here are the main two:
ATi 5470
AMD Mobility 6570 - not much info available. Also, strange that they did not name ATi, but rather AMD Mobility...
I obviously know the 6570 would be stronger, but how much stronger? Would it compare to an ATi 5750?
-
Cleverly disguised but it still goes here:

Also, AMD merged with ATI (ancient news) they're all called AMD now. -
Yeah, AMD bought ATI a while ago. Only recently have they discontinued the ATI brand.
-
I knew they had owned them for a while. Just surprised they named it AMD only now.
-
Really, I figured that was only for *CAN MY COMPUTER RUN THIS* Questions. But, OK. I knew ATi and AMD were combined, just first time I saw an AMD-branded card.
-
Also says X and Y graphics card comparisons.
-
Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
ORLY my 6950 box still has a ATi logo on it.
-
Yes, i didn't look into that much detail, just glanced over the sticky.

To answer your question:
HD 5470: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 - Notebookcheck.net Tech
HD 6570: AMD Radeon HD 6570M - Notebookcheck.net Tech -
Lol, ive already seen those. First sites I used. The 6570 dosen't tell me anything much.
-
Well, the HD 6570 is based on the HD 5730, so look at the 5730 benchmarks and add a little: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 - Notebookcheck.net Tech
-
ADD a little? NICE! I'm sold now. Because the laptop is with the new Sandy Bridge, this is a perfect compromise between the battery and cool performance I sometimes need, and the power other times.
-
Time for Crysis on High!
-
Which laptop are you looking at?
-
Well, I was looking at the Lenovo Ideapad y560. Believe me, my budget is low. Getting this for $900 is a perfect match.
Intel "Sandy Bridge" i7-2630qm, with the AMD Mobility 6570m. It's cheap, and I am not bringing it anywhere outside the house.
Also, I was kidding about Crysis on high. I don't even play Crysis. -
That sounds like a sweet lappy
Can you write us up a review of it if you get it? -
SURE! Would be happy to do so.
-
Well, I am not getting it anymore. It was pulled, due to the Sandy Bridge issue.
