I recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 1720 notebook. I made sure to bundle the notebook with the Nvidia GeForce 8600m GT card. I am very new to laptops a nvidia cards in general but here is my problem: I got an email from dell that included all the final details and specifications of the laptop. It says that it comes with NVIDIA GEFORCE GO 8600. I was just wondering, and this is probably very foolish of me, but is the Go 8600 the same card as the 8600m gt?
Thank you for your time.

Yes, it is the same card.
-
Yes, but confirm when you get it.
-
Well, actually, Dell's just being stupid as there is no GO 8600. The GO brand name was retired with the 7000 series.
-
Should be fine, but make sure they didnt rip you off and put and 8600m GS in it.
-
Alright, thanks for the replies, it seems that they were just mistaken. Ill be sure to check if it is in fact the GT rather then the GS or any other card for that matter.

The laptop came in today! I love it! It came with the 8600m gt.
