I found a great barebone notebook for the right price. The only problem is the graphics card. It very weak. Its a ATI Mobility Radeon X700 256MB. Is theyre anyway I can replace it?
-
There are only a very small amount of notebooks that allow you to upgrade the video card. Without knowing what notebook you're talking about, I would say no.

The MSI MS-1036 is the laptop.
If I cant replace it, is the X700 able to play oblivion and new games? -
The x700 is a good card! Its performace is comparable to the x1600 but just a bit less as its an older card. Also it doesnt support pixel shader 2 or 3 (not sure exactly which one) so might not be good for keeping in the long term.
Lots of users in the forum have an x700, mabye they can comment beter? -
oh, thats re-asuring [Is that spelled right?] Thanks...
I think I will buy the MS-1036.
As long as it plays brand new HD games and stuff, well, I happy with it. -
The x700 is mainstream really, not the best nor the worse.
It will be able to play new games, but never over medium to low settings.
Benchmark-wise, the x700 scores about 2600~, on 3DMark05, the x1600/7600 Go scores about 3900~. Note, the weaker x600/6400 scores 1400~ or so.
