I recently had to have my C drive wiped and rebuilt. After that was done I went to Lenovo's website and downloaded the Thinkvantage System Updater. After downloading all the recent stuff I have 2 problems.

The biggest one is that WHEN I AM IN MY DOCKING STATION at work I noticed the graphics on the laptop monitor are poor and grainy (white "halo" around round desktop items, grey toolbar in mozilla pixely). WHEN I AM NOT DOCKED and I boot up the graphics are perfect. This was NOT the case BEFORE I used the System Updater. It changed a setting somewhere.

I no longer see the little green menu bar for the volume when i press the volume keys. This used to work. Yes I have it turned on in advanced settings.

When you are docked, is the screen still at native resolution?
