    Guide: Turn off EIST [without BIOS]

    When u want dissable EIST (Enhanced Intel SpeedStep® Technology) without seetings on BIOS. Read my Guide!

    Getting Started
    Most people have problem with this Technology, first most problem is locked BIOS. It's simple to turn off without risky :)
    Works on systems XP/Vista/7

    Let's go! Road on Vista/7
    1. Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers
    2. Found a file intelppm.sys
    3. Press right click on him
    4. Properties>Security>Owner>Edit>Set your profile
    5. Now back to properties, click ur profile and edit permissions: Full Control
    6. Change this file name to stupid.sys / .sys must be on!!
    7. Restart your notebook
    8. Check status / Intel informed when
    EIST ON http://cache-www.intel.com/cd/00/00/20/38/203863_203863.jpg
    EIST OFF http://cache-www.intel.com/cd/00/00/20/38/203865_203865.jpg
    So when u get two same speed your EIST is off :)

    On my P8400 when EIST be ON i got 2,26 2,27 without EIST http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/2250/asdghe.jpg and still max speed.

    Probably same, because i don't know where is this file i don't have XP :)
