If I purchase an HD tuner for my laptop, will it still be usable after the big switch in february 09'?

Also, what channels will I recieve. Basic cable channels?

I would think that the switch to digital is not going to be very much.
The same wiring to ever house is going to be used, its not like they are going to change and upgrade teh world, because that is not possible.

I would think that it would work fine as is.

You may want to email the people at hauppage, avermedia for an exact answer.

As long as you have ATSC support on the tuner, you're fine. But remember, the switch is only for over the air channels. If you have cable, then you don't have to worry about anything.

As for channels, you'll be recieving the same OTA channels as you would now, just in the digital format.
