Most laptop hard drives are fairly standard with a few notable exceptions. The nx6110 is not one of those exceptions.
-
Okay,So would that be a 2.5"hard drive

Yes, an ATA/100 2.5" drive is what you should look for.
If I could suggest some manufacturers...check out the Western Digital Scorpio drives - best drives out there. -
Okay,I'll look into thoses.Who sells them for the best price?
-
Okay Chazman421,
I'am confused now.I found a few Western Digital Scorpio series hard drives at www.newegg.com
But they say ATA-6
i'AM LOST NOW.dIDN'T YOU SAY THAT I need ATA/100
I don't even know what the ATA?MEANS! -
They are the same ATA-6 is the naming scheme for hard drive intefaces which use UDMA mode with transfer rates of 100mbps. So they are called as ATA-6/ATA-100.

Thanks Miner
Is there a good 60GB 7200rpm or should I go with a 80GB 5400rpm? -
Hitachi and Seagate are the only 2 companies who currently offer 7200rpm notebook HDD's. Both are reliable and offer good performance but they are expensive. The Hitachi 60GB goes for around $170 and the Seagates are even more expensive. I dont think they are worth the price. If you are not aganist buying on Ebay, you can get them a litle cheaper.
I would suggest a 5400rpm HDD as they offer the best bang for the buck. Decent performance and a 80GB HDD can be had for around $100. Also the difference between a 5400rpm to a 7200rpm is not as large or not as noticable as the difference between a 4200rpm and 5400rpm HDD.
If you can spend $170+ then definately get the 7200rpm hard drives otherwise if you want more space at resonable price 5400rpm HD are the way to go. Moreover there are more companies which offer 5400rpm HD than the 2(Hitachi & Seagate) for 7200rpm. :decision: -

Unless you are video editing or doing something really hard drive intensive, I'd say go for the 5400RPM. It will produce less heat.
Yes, ATA-6 is the same as ATA-100. Just get an ATA drive and you'll be fine. I'm going to stand by Western Digital. They're not terribly expensive, and are worth every penny. -
As you suggested.I think that I'll go the 80GB 5400rpm route.
Hey Miner,I see that you have a Acer Aspire 3003WLCi.
I've been looking into the Acer Aspire 3003LCi & 3002Lci.Because,they're both close my my budget for a brand new notebook. What's your opinion? On me buying;lets say a Aspire 3002LCi and upgrading the memory to 1GB crucial ram
And the hard drive to say 80GB 5400rpm?I'd buy a 3003Lci;if I can find one in my budget.I've only got $700.00 to spend on the lappy it's self!! -
Buying the 3002lci makes more sense if you are after a budget laptop. You"ll end up spending $750(or a bit more) on the whole package including the upgrades. I think that would be better rather than spending $700+ only on the laptop. -

Be careful with the 3002 if you want decent battery life. It only has a 4-cell battery, which will only provide about an hour and a half. So, I hope you don't plan on being unplugged for very long.

The 5400 is huge performance wise. You probably don't need as rugged a notebook if it is on your desk most of the time.
