According to Speedfan, my Hdd temp is constantly at 60C+ and my core temps are around 50-60C when all I'm doing is surfing the web and talking on aim. Nothing intensive or anything. It's been doing this for pretty much ever since I've gotten it. Nothing bad's really happened to the laptop though. I checked HDD Health and it says the hard drive is 100% healthy. I'm not sure if this is okay or not, but the laptop seems to have no problems even though the temperature is a bit high...
    Holy crap it's now 75C...
How did that happen in such short notice O_O.

How old is the computer, and when was the last time you blew dust out of the fans/vents?

It's a few months over a year old, and yea, I haven't blown the dust out of the vents for a while (as in a year while). That's probably the problem there :p I'll get straight to that tomorrow morning!

50-60 is on the higher end for CPU idle temps, but nothing dangerous.

60 degrees for a hard drive, however, is rather high. My hard drive stays at around 30 degrees on idle, and tops out at 34 degrees. In my old laptop, my hard drive stayed between 37-39 degrees constantly. Is this drive a stock drive, or did you install it yourself? What laptop is in question?

    It's an HP DV6000
I thought it was the vents but today, just after booting the comp up the HDD temp showed 65C. The comp itself feels ice cold, maybe it's an error reporting the temp? I seriously doubt it can reach 65C by just booting up...

Edit: It was probably an error, as now I check again after restarting and it's 47C, which is much better. Hopefully this temp stays :p. The cpu right now is around 35C too, very nice :D
