I have a new HDD for my alienware m9750 that i would like to install to replace the one that came with the m9750 and i have the alien respawn dvd. I have no files to backup since the system is new.

After i install the new HDD how do i get vista and all the drivers (the way that the system came with the drivers on to the HDD). Because i think the old hdd had the os and files on it and the new one has nothing on it.

respawn DVD? isnt hat supposed to be the thing that recovers the drive in case of failure? therefore it has all the stuff u need? try it

otherwise get an external enclosure and move the copy/clone the old drive into the new one.

download the 14 day trial copy of Acronis True Image Workstation. it can clone an OS from one drive to another. I have no idea if it works with windows vista or not.
