Time for a new pc and I'm exploring options for HDMI on ThinkPads. Does anyone know if the Display Port on the R500 with the Intel mhd 4500 provides audio too? (The Levovo site says both video and audio but in researching video cards, many comments are that cards often don't provide audio). If these components thus far begin to get me what I need, then am I correct to think that the only thing I need next is a converter on the Display Port to connect to the TV's HDMI? If yes, can anyone recommend a middle of the road converter and HDMI cable with decent quality and under $100? Are there any issues with this card combined with the 970's audio limit of 2 channel digital audio limit? Are any of the other laptop options better for my desire to occasionally use my pc to watch movies on HDTV?
