    Hi guys ,
I considering to purchase a notebook with an HDMI connector in order to be able to connect it to my 1080p ( 1920X1080 resolution) LCD TV .
The display resolution of the notebook that I'd like to buy is 1440X900 since it is an 17 inch display .

If I would like to play a High Definition movie with the resolution of 1920X1080 from the notebook to the LCD-TV display it will be possible to see it as 1920X1080 on my LCD or only at the resolution of the notebook's display - 1440X900 ?

It depends on the particular video card in your notebook. But generally speaking, yes, your laptop should be capable of driving two displays at independent resolutions.
