Sorry if this is a dumb question but I am not extremely tech savy and I'm having an issue with my hdmi output onto my 1080p lcd. When i first connected the hdmi to my tv it automatically loaded but i needed to tweak the settings so that i could get a 720p display to make it so that the output was spread across throughout my entire LCD. I played around with the monitor 1 and 2 settings which i think screwed me up.

Now I am having issues with the appearance setting under control pannel because the output on my lcd is independant from the output on my laptop which means I'll see different things on my LCD than what i see on my laptop. Also it limits what i can load and what i can't load and I'm just confused. I just want the settings set so that i can see what I am doing on my laptop exactly the same way but on my LCD tv as well.

Any help at all is appreciated. Thanks

When you go into the Nvida Control Panel, there will will an option on the left to "Setup Multiple Displays". While under this tab, you are able to configure if you want the monitors displayed independantly, same display, or single. Choosing same or single will show the desktop on both, or one of the monitors.
