    Hi folks,

Can I connect a laptop to a sony home theater in order to get the DTS, Dolby effects??? I don't know if I can do this by using the HDMI port. Does anybody has any experience in that field?
    Thks in advance.

theoretically yes, but it depends VERY heavily on the HDMI output and what the sony is capable of seeing down the HDMI cable. If i were you i would run the optical lead from laptop to sony for DTS as there will be no benefit quality wise in using the HDMI lead.
