Dumb question, but before I buy a $3000 laptop (EEK!)...

Sony's AW, like many new notebooks, lacks a DVI port, only HDMI. It's got an Nvidia GPU, and I assume I can just hook it to a HDMI > DVI cable, and it'll see the monitors supported resolutions and work like normal-right? Sorry, just want to make sure!

Hmm...I just saw someone say that I shouldn't have problems, but I guess the post disappeared?

Yup, there are many HDMI-> DVI adapters and it should work just fine. However, keep in mind that audio won't be supported for DVI.
