Hi,
I have a Dell 2408WFP Ultrasharp monitor and it has a plethora of connection options, but only one for HDMI.
My notebook is currently using the HDMI on the monitor as my notebook doesn't have a DisplayPort connector.
My XBOX 360 is currently using an HDMI to DVI-D (temporarily), but of course DVI-D doesn't carry sound.
I wish to use my speakers that are currently hooked up to the monitor, and want to stay digital with the connections.
So, I recently found an HDMI to DisplayPort adapter solution at MonoPrice and I've had nothing but good business with them.
(The product page: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10419&cs_id=1041911&p_id=4826&seq=1&format=2)

Now what I am thinking of doing is to connect an HDMI cord to the adapter, stick the adapter into the DisplayPort of the monitor, and then stick the other end of the HDMI cord into my XBOX 360.
Does that sound good so far? Or am I understanding this adapter wrong? What are the repercussions when using this method?
Anyone with personal experience?
Thanks!

Sounds good to me, but I have no experience with it.

Yeah, this must be a relatively new solution. I don't see any reviews or any discussions over this adapter.
Thanks for your reply.
