    Hi all,

I need some help on my external monitor. I have a DELL 1420 laptop, I connect it to a BenQ external monitor and it works fine for me for a long time ( 1 year). Then suddenyl today, when I turned my laptop, the external montior gives no output.

The monitor indicates that there is a input source with its LED indicator, and my comupter can detect that there is a external monitor. Also, When the laptop detects the external monitor, the Monitor LGITHS UP FOR A BREEF MOMENT, then it turned black, but the LED indicates that there is an input source. So the monitor and the cable are not spolit.

I have also reinstalled my display driver.

So, anyone, PLS HELP!

your help is greatly appreciated :)

Go into the graphics driver and see if the software is allowing you to use the secondary monitor.
You must click on the screen (#2) for this, and insure that the box is checked off which allows you to span the desktop to the external screen.

why cant you connect it to a different external monitor to see whether that works. also try plugging another laptop into your benq monitor if possible.
