Hehe, not really. Only this thing is falling apart,

At the lower left corner, there is a black thingy (I dont know what this called), prevents from scratching the surface and the notebook, is falling apart. The sticky stuffs seems to be woring off. Any idea how to fix this w/o using tape.

    TIA

This isn't an uncommon problem..... the term you are looking for is "rubber feet" (or "plastic feet" in some cases).

These tend to eventually fall off either from wear or just from the heat generated.

The easiest thing to do would be to contact Dell support and ask them to send you some replacement rubber feet, which they should do with no problems. It is covered under warranty so they shouldn't have any problem doing this. If they need it, the part number for rubber feet for the 1150 is 9U753.

If your laptop is out of warranty and Dell tech support won't replace them, you can also call Dell's Spare Parts Department at 1-800-372-3355 and order them (they shouldn't cost much).

If they won't send you some replacement feet for whatever reason and you don't want to buy from Dell, you can find them online with no problems.

Just do a google search for something like this:

replace "rubber feet" dell inspiron 1150

And you'll find plenty of people selling replacement rubber feet for your laptop, like these guys:

I chatted with Dell using their online Chat, and I am going to recieved the replacement rubber feet probably 3 days, since I still have the warrenty (expires 9/10/07). :) I did not know you can do that online, cool. Hmmm, thats makes me wonder. Well, I should post a new thread for this.

    Thank you, zadillo.
