Best regards distinguished forum. I want to leave you these questions and doubts about a problem I have with my Sony Vaio VGN-NR160E laptop. It happens that I have been couple of weeks with a problem of overheating and also that all the processes of the unit, are paralyzed, the audio sounds strangely like forced and jumping, lag videos, and sometimes stop the programs. Also, when trying to find a solution to the problem, I am told that it may be a problem with the CMOS battery on the motherboard of the unit, but in reality, I do not know where the battery is.And finally, I decided to open my unit and show you the current state of the CPU Processor and if you understand that it deserves to be cleaned and put a new thermal paste. And also I will leave images of everything discussed, to see if you can help clarify my questions and help me to fix my laptop. I have been with her since October 2015 that I got a technician I had. Also an image of what happens in my videos with the CPU ... and you understand what happens. I hope they can help me and teach me how to handle the situation step by step. Thanks for your attention.

The CMOS is on the other side of the motherboard, i.e. under the keyboard.

And you say yours are dirty? I've refurbished something nastier, but since you've already took it apart, just dust it off and replace the thermal paste as well.
