I have my eyes on 3 sticks and I can't decide which one to buy:
    Transcend: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820208037
    Kingston: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134129
    Corsair: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145012

Kingston and Corsair I know are reliable companies, and Transcend I have never heard of. But the transcend one has a higher user rating despite having almost 100 more ratings than the Kingston and 20 more than the Corsair. Corsair also has the lowest rating of them all, with 13% very poor and 5% poor.

So which one do I go with?

Whoops my bad. I've edited the link to the one you posted.
K between those 3 + the Crucial (2nd link in 2nd post), which one do I buy? Should I make my decision based on the customer ratings (in that case, transcend wins)?

Well, either of those 3 should work. Kingston, Crucial have better brand recognition..but most of the time there is little difference between the memory manufacturers. It wasn't like this a few years ago but these days you should be fine with buying from a lesser known maker. Which laptop do you have. See if any of the newegg reviews reviewed with the same models yours and base your decision on that. Even if the memory turns out to be problematic you should be able to RMA and get a different one.
