hey guys, I need your advice, something really weird happened....
I just bought a new third party battery for my dell xps m1530 cuz the original died. so i was using my laptop under heavy load on high performance mode (unplugged) and suddenly the pc turned off. Both vista and the bios recognize de battery, only it won't charge and won´t work with the comp. I barely used the battey, maybe 1 week, it was working fine and with pretty decent working time( 2 hours and a half on average).
is there a fix for this or should i consider my battery dead??

You battery is dead. Or your charging circuit is. Usually it's the battery, though (and fortunately).
-
so i need to try a different battery to be sure then? thx.

Yep. And be sure they won't charge you anything for another battery. This is certainly not your fault but a manufacturing defect.

your battery is not charged properly due to this it does not give you the proper backup.
try to charge the battery from the another charger and than use.
if again it does not give the proper backup .
check the charger , your charger should be dead ,
check both the things separately .
after all you can replace the battery and take the new one
HELP, funny new battery.
