I have the Toshiba A-300 laptop. It has the:
Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG network adapter
I want to update it to a abgn adapter.
If possible a network adapter. If not, then a USB one.
PLS: include links to adapter for purchasing.

You can probably use the Intel 4965 or even the 5100/5300. I would personally get them from ebay; they're not that expensive.
-
You can get the Intel 4965AGN !
And purschase link, all depends on where you live. It doesn't say in your profile or in your post
But it's this card http://www.intel.com/network/connectivity/products/wireless/wireless_n/overview.htm -
How to confirm that I can use them
-
Great, I live in NY USA
-
Just for interest,
what about the 5100/5300?(if they are the PCIe mini form) -
I bet you can verify an online store that you recognize in the list here maybe?

I'm not too familliar with the onlinestores you guys have except newegg and zipzoomfly(i think)
And i didn't find it on any of those websites.
I hope it helps!
Btw, don't get the 5100, it has a bad rumor
Get the 5300 IF your notebook can run it. But i doubt it. Though someone will probably fill you in on that info.

It's like in theory any mini-PCIe card should work in any mini-PCIe slot, but some anal companies (like HP) lock down their BIOS such that only certain mini-PCIe cards can be recognized. I don't know if Toshiba does this or not (I would assume not, hence I say probably); the best way to confirm is to find another A-300 that is using the 4965 or the 5100/5300. -
Can you provide me an online website in UK, I have a friend there.
Thanks for your help -
YOU ARE RIGHT !
