    Hai guys i'm new to this forum i just purchase a HP i5 laptop 4 months ago and today in morning i juxt turned my laptop on as usual but today suddenly screen flashed and my laptop was unable to start all the lights and fan are working but screen remains black i was very worried then after searching alot i got a way that i removed one ram from laptop and then it's working but when i put both ram's back again 8gb then same cond as it was in morning . I need i'll be very thanful to you all guys please help otherwise my papa will kill me due to this :(

    Sounds like that the RAM stick you removed is toast, if the laptop is still under warranty, you could contact HP. These things are rare, but they do happen. Just to be sure, I'd try running the notebook with each RAM stick individually, it will rule out the possibility of a dead SODIMM socket.

    thanks first for reply i checked the both ram's individually they are working fine but thie socket 0 is working fine i think socket 1 is not working i just want to confirm that now what to do ?
