    I'd like to buy a Seagate or Hitachi HDD today.. looking for quick responses as to whether the Hitachis are noisy as reported by some, or if they are fine. Thanks!

    If you find Hitachi to be a little noisy, you can always use this tool by Hitachi to adjust the noise.
