    HL-DT-STBDDVDRW CT10N firmware update

    Hi.

    I have the dvd-rw/bluray rom of the title from one acer laptop(I thing acer aspire 8930) and i CAN'T make it firmware update from wao2 that has into newest wa09 because doesn't regonise it.

    Can anyone tell me what can i do to install the latest firmware for that drive?

    As a rule of thumb firmwares are OEM specific and in most cases you can't update i.e. Acer's version of the drive with a Dell firmware or for that matter from non-OEM firmware straight from LG.

    Not that these firmwares are actually any different but there is an OEM code and an update refuses to install.

    Isn't there any way to MAKE this drive oem and doesn't be acer firmware to make it update?

    Is the drive malfunctioning in some way that the firmware needs updating?

    No but it doesn't work like it suppose and as i read the firmware update solves that issues.

    But i CAN'T find the firmware update file update to see the drive and update.

    You won't find a firmware you need. Acer does not provide updates like that. One of our users had his Blu-ray drive replaced with a different one by Acer because they did not have a firmware update for him (it might have been a warranty replacement though).
