Gang - for reasons too lengthy, I use a Preset Profile with my Radeon 6xxx series - its utterly necessary. However, I have issues that seem to be common with a lot of threads being posted relating:
    1. - how to know if the Preset is REALLY in force or not? the CCC 'feedback' via the interface isn't convincing. [like, there's no "OK" , no visible representation of the Preset being "on" or "off"]
    2. Its clear that sometimes, but not always, once the Preset is successfully invoked, it will not persist. Reboot/restart Windows 7 and its a roll of the dice. The Preset may or may not be in force when the system comes up.
Checking Overdrive to see if it is invoked would seem to be one way to triangulate whether or not the Preset is in force. If Ovewrdrive comes up "off", then theoretically the Preset cannot be in force as it has a dependency on something in the Overdrive function [at least that one gives a tickbox to tell whether it is on or not].
However, it appears that if Overdrive is checked "on", that in/of itself does not indicate whether the desired Preset is still invoked.

all help would be GREATLY appreciated.
