I just needed clarification of, which battery the 601 error refers to.

The error states: "The system has detected the storage capacity of the battery stated below to be very low. For optimal performance, this battery may need to be replaced.
    Primary (internal) Battery (601)"

I am assuming that this is the main battery in the back, but wanted to be sure it is not the little battery that maintains all the BIOS info. I think the word 'internal' is throwing me off a bit.

This is in regards to an HP Pavilion DV5-1004NR notebook.

    Thank you for any help.

You just need a new regular battery.
