I have a HP Compaq 6710b that runs on the 965GM chipset. The current CPU I'm operating with is the Intel Core 2 Duo T7300. I was wondering if I would be able to upgrade to a T9300. Do I need any Bios updates? Does the hardware support the 45nm technology?

Yes, you can upgrade to a T9300. You may need a BIOS update in order for it to function correctly, HP's site may provide information on whether or not one is needed.
