I am not sure that that is the right place but that forum section looked the best to my question.

    So what I have:
    HP 8510p laptop + Bose Companion 3 + Senn HD595 and Budget of $300

    What I need:
Take advantage of my Senn by improving the onboard audio from my HP. I game a lot but listen to music as well. That is the reason I bought the HD595. Ideally I want to improve both and at the beginning I thought maybe a usb sound card (Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Go!) may be a step forward but then - after receiving some suggestion - it seems a DAC/Amp combo would be better to me. And at the end, i come across to Astro MixAmp.

    My question:
Can I improve my HD595/Bose sound as well somehow with one of these configs like that:

    Where XXX:
    1) DAC/Amp/Preamp(?): e.g. iBasso D2/10, HifiMan EF2, Beresford TC 7520/Caiman
    2) USB SoundCard: e.g. Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Go! ---> 3D audio and EAX effects
    3) Astro Mixamp ---> Dolby Headphone

I took a look at them but can not still decide. What would you suggest after these?

Thanks for your feedback in advance.
All looks good but i need your advice.
