I upgraded the RAM a couple of months ago. 2x 4gb Crucial DDR3L 1600 1.35V CL11
After the SSD failed, which was replaced, I started getting random BSOD. Even when there were no heavy running programs. I was also unable to use the search option in windows...?
Tried reinstalling windows but with the new RAM it would simply fail the install every time.
Windows memory diagnostic tool did not find any errors. But I am still getting BSOD. It also seems that when I use only 1 stick the BSOD appears to be less frequent.
Tried the old RAM and it seems to work fine.
Any suggestions?

Odd. From the sound of it either the ram went bad or the sockets no longer like it. Old ram working though should rule out the sockets leaving the "new" ram.
Since the bus for RAM is before the DMI and the SATA port is beyond it they're not tied together thus ruling out the issue with the SSD replacement tying into it unless there was some sort of electrostatic discharge to the ram while fiddling with the SSD replacement. -
Do the obvious: Memtest86+
